Calculator Frame Rate Key

The calculator supports a number of different frame rates. The current frame rate is selected using the frame rate selector key indicated in the diagram.

Supported frame rates are shown in the following table. Note that when changing frame rates, the underlying value of the timecode which is stored as a floating point number of seconds is not altered unless the associated Round FPS Changes preference is enabled. If enabled the result of the frame rate change is normalised or rounded.

If not enabled, pressing the Correction key will manually “Normalise” the value. This is achieved by converting the value into an integer number of frames and then converting back into the number of seconds.
